oldest marketing companies, has been sold to four long-time partners. No

billings were disclosed.

Ryan is a holding company for three firms: R/H/A/S, a full-service PR

and advertising agency; Image Analysis, a marketing research firm; and

the group’s latest venture, rhas dot com, an Internet marketing

division.

Led by CEO Constance Southwick, the agency has evolved from a

bread-and-butter ad shop to a firm with fully developed PR, ad,

marketing and web design arms. Ryan’s Internet group launched four years

ago, which Southwick described as ’a lifetime in Internet years. We were

one of the first companies in this area to really delve into that

space.’

The firm’s other partners are COO Tamera Minnick, creative director

Michael Arthur and director of business development Bob Ryan (who is not

related to the founders).

The new owners have been with the company for around 20 years.

Formerly known as Ryan Hutchins Arthur Southwick, the company shortened

its name years ago. ’We decided to have mercy on the people answering

the phones,’ Southwick explained, adding that ’some of the initials do

reflect our past history.’
