LONDON: Golin/Harris has recharged its European operations by

promoting Mary Bartholomew to the newly created position of managing

director/European region.

Bartholomew, formerly director of international strategies, will be a

key figure in developing Golin’s affiliate network in Europe, Asia and

Latin America. Her appointment marks the next step in an agency-wide

reorganization that saw the firm divide responsibility for its North

American business among three regional directors (PRWeek, July 26).

Golin CEO Rich Jernstedt described Bartholomew as a ’valuable asset’ to

the agency’s international presence. ’We’re excited that she has agreed

to step into this role,’ he said in a statement. ’She will play an

integral part in reinforcing Golin/Harris as an international brand.’
