NEW YORK: Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners has picked up a dollars 12

million account to launch a web site for car enthusiasts,

ExpressAutoparts.com.

While the agency has been charged with handling a range of

communications issues - everything from PR and advertising to direct

mail and sponsorship - it refused to divulge the percentage of the

account that is devoted to PR. Kirshenbaum won the business following a

competitive pitch against Middleberg & Associates and Kramer

Communications.

’Kirshenbaum had worked with DLJdirect and Netscape, and we felt they

had the best experience,’ said Paul Campbell, ExpressAutoparts.com

founder and CEO. ’They put 15 people on the account, which is quite

impressive.’

The web site, which offers parts for foreign and domestic cars, is due

to launch in November. Kirshenbaum has already started a print media

campaign.

’It turns out that we’ve got an agency full of car buffs,’ said

Kirshenbaum managing partner Steve Klein. ’They’re extremely excited to

be able to access all of the tools at ExpressAutoparts.com, and I’m sure

you’ll be able to see their enthusiasm in the work.’
