NEW YORK: Shandwick has reinvigorated its New York financial
practice by adding the head of the firm’s Thailand office and hiring two
other upper-level execs.
Peter Poulos, managing director of the agency’s Thailand outpost for
seven years, returns to the US as an SVP in the corporate/financial
group.
The firm also plucked Evan Smith away from Kuala Healthcare to serve as
a VP and Kevin Foster away from Kratz & Jensen to serve as a senior
account supervisor.
The additions, according to practice head Diane Perry, reflect the
agency’s philosophy of ’growing quickly and, I think, wisely.’ The moves
were also motivated by a host of new IPO and M&A business.
All three boast somewhat distinct backgrounds. Poulos worked in the
foreign service in Thailand, Smith is a former securities analyst and
Foster was once a financial planner.
