SAN FRANCISCO: Deen & Black’s (D&B) six-month-old San Francisco
office has picked up two clients: the San Ramon Regional Medical Center
and Modem Media-Poppe Tyson.
San Ramon has charged the firm with a nine-month project to help launch
a minimally invasive cardiac services program.
’Given what we’ve accomplished in healthcare and public health, this
project is a great opportunity for us,’ said San Francisco GM Monique
Garcia. Longstanding D&B clients in its Sacramento stronghold include
the UC Davis Medical Center, Mercy Healthcare and the California
Wellness Foundation.
Modem Media, an interactive/web marketing and advertising agency owned
by Poppe-Tyson, has tapped D&B for a six-month project to promote
awareness of its West Coast/San Francisco office. While this is the
first tech-oriented client for D&B, plans are underway to beef up the
firm’s hi-tech capabilities, Garcia said.
Other clients at D&B’s San Francisco office, which opened March 15,
include the Santa Clara Valley Water District and the California
Coalition Against Sexual Assault. A Sacramento-based independent, Deen &
Black has offices in all four of California’s major media markets: LA,
San Francisco, San Diego and Sacramento. The agency rang up fees of
dollars 2.3 million in 1998.
