SAN FRANCISCO: Medica-Logic, an Oregon-based medical records
management company - which is set to launch an online health network and
a new Internet software product for doctors - has dumped former agency
Porter Novelli in favor of the San Francisco office of Publicis
Dialog.
Led by executive principal Hatti Hamlin, who oversees creative and
strategic direction for the San Francisco branch, Publicis Dialog will
handle trade and consumer media relations, special events and analyst
briefings for MedicaLogic’s physician and soon-to-be-launched consumer
health channel, AboutMyHealth.net. On the new web site, patients will be
able to access their medical records, receive personalized information
and monitor their own health.
The selection concluded a competitive agency review for the account, for
which no budget was disclosed.
Publicis Dialog is the integrated communications division of holding
company Publicis, based in France. The San Francisco office’s PR
division, which is headed by Ned Purdom, boasts about 15 staffers and
services, such clients as Canadian Club, Varian Medical Systems,
Autodesk, Heald Colleges and VeriFone. Publicis Dialog acquired Purdom
Public Relations last month (PRWeek, September 20).
