BALTIMORE: DAP, a dollars 250 million supplier of caulks, sealants
and wood preservatives, last week formalized its relationship with
Richardson, Myers & Donofrio, a firm with which the company had worked
on a project basis in the past.
RM&D has been charged with new product launch and trade show support, as
well as cementing DAP’s relationships with contractors, according to
RM&D VP for marketing communications Bill Lawbart. He added that the
agency’s first collaboration with DAP was at August’s National Hardware
& Building Products trade show.
RM&D’s work at the show included support for the launch of five new
products and the creation of collateral materials. The agency, Lawbart
said, proved its mettle by securing placements for one of the products
on Good Morning America, NBC News and NPR.
DAP VP David Fuller said the selection process was an arduous one. ’We
talked to numerous other agencies in the greater Baltimore area,’ he
said.
’But RM&D’s expertise in building products and services, as evidenced by
our success at the Hardware Show, made them the ideal choice.’
Fuller declined to reveal the size of the PR account.
