DEARBORN, MI: Highly regarded automotive PR veteran Stuart Dyble
has traded in his Ford for a Jaguar.
Dyble, Ford’s director of global marketing and manufacturing public
affairs, is leaving the States to become Jaguar’s director of public
affairs and communications, a post based in the UK. Ford, however, isn’t
completely left out in the cold by Dyble’s departure, as the person who
formerly held his new post, Joe Greenwell, will join the company’s
European operation as VP of communications and public affairs.
Dyble said his key challenge in his new job is ’to extend the Jaguar
brand globally and make it relevant to a wider target audience.’
Having just launched new models targeted to younger consumers, Jaguar
sees PR as an essential part of its efforts to slightly tweak its
image.
Another PR challenge will be communicating what the company has done to
improve quality over the past decade.
’Jaguar is like the Ferrari of Britain,’ he said. ’This is a dream job
for a Brit.’
