Belarus government makes PR a recognised trade

The PR industry has received a boost in Eastern Europe as it has been officially adopted as a recognised trade by the Belarus Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

The profession has received is certification through Resolution 106 of the government’s code to be officially included in the Unified Qualification Catalogue of Professions of the Republic of Belarus. The resolution came into force on 1 November 2013.

The first PR agencies appeared in the former territory of the Soviet Union in the early nineties with two training departments, the Department of Journalism and the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences opening to train PR professionals in 1996.
