The agency will report to Saxo head of comms Kasper Elbjorn and is charged with developing the bank’s comms strategy, to be implemented across its 25 offices around the globe.
Andrew Nicolls, vice-chairman of Hudson Sandler, will lead the account, having worked with Saxo Bank at his previous agency MHP Communications.
Nicolls said: "Having worked with Saxo for a number of years it is more exciting than ever to see the bank continue to innovate and develop its services, capitalising on its considerable in-house talent and experience. Being able to supplement our financial market experience with our digital and brand expertise will enable us to develop a truly comprehensive communications programme."
Saxo Bank, which has developed a specialism in FX trading, is looking to expand geographically, move into broader asset classes and build its institutional and hedge fund offering, for which it requires distinct expertise in capital markets and financial technology. Moreover, as a pioneer in FX trading Saxo is building platforms and tools designed to "revolutionise" traders' experience.
