JPMorgan cancels Twitter Q&A following rain of sarcasm

Investment bank JPMorgan Chase cancelled a US-based question and answer session on Twitter yesterday following a wave of negative reaction.

The bank asked followers to send questions using the hashtag #AskJPM for the forum, which had been intended to give college students an opportunity to communicate directly with a senior executive, Brian Marchiony.

However the call provoked sarcastic posts such as "Can I have my house back?" and "How do you decide who to foreclose on? Darts or a computer program?".

The bank cancelled the session less than six hours after the call with the post "#Badidea! Back to the drawing board."
