OFT's Paul Latham to head comms for new competition watchdog

Paul Latham has been appointed to lead comms and strategy for the new competition watchdog created by the merger of the Office of Fair Trading and the Competition Commission.

Latham has been director of comms at the OFT for two-and-a-half years.

The new body, the Competition and Markets Authority, is running in parallel with the two bodies it replaces until its formal launch in April 2014.

As the CMA’s director of strategy, communications and devolved nations Latham will report to executive director of corporate services Erik Wilson.
