Beth Murray’s passion for her clients and her ability to get under the skin of a client stood out among the entries for this year’s accolade.
An associate director by 27, Murray runs accounts across the financial services and consumer spaces with a fee income of £600,000 a year. She has been entrusted with leading some of the agency’s biggest accounts, including LV= and uSwitch.com.
One chief executive is so impressed with her work to increase his company’s profile that he has asked for Murray to work in his company two days a week.
One of her big successes was for Metro Bank. She ran a concerted campaign to change a law that was restricting the bank’s growth. She arranged and attended meetings with politicians Eric Pickles, Vince Cable and Boris Johnson, and persuaded a national newspaper to support the campaign alongside pressure at regional council level. In May, the Government announced a change to the law that could allow Metro Bank to open in any desired site.
Metro Bank CEO Craig Donaldson says: "Beth has been instrumental to the success of Metro Bank’s PR programme and, subsequently, the growth of the bank. She has taken the time to understand our business and I know I can rely on her for first-class board-level advice."
"After the interviews there could only be one winner. Head and shoulders above a field of cracking candidates"
