News round-up: APCO Worldwide, CCgroup and jewellery

APCO Worldwide has been appointed to handle two nine-month projects for US technology company Honeywell’s sensing and control division, including the global rebrand and positioning of a key business.

Ian McCann has sold tech PR agency CCgroup in a management buyout led by managing director Richard Fogg and head of telecoms Paul Nolan. Media entrepreneur Tim Trotter has taken a small equity stake and the role of non-executive chairman while McCann has become a non-executive director and is staying with the company as a client-facing consultant.

Cadenzza, the jewellery retailer, has appointed retail specialist agency Portas to launch stores at Westfield Stratford and at Westfield London and Bluewater this summer. Portas has been taken on as a retained agency following a four-way competitive pitch.

Kallaway PR has been appointed to handle UK public relations for Fellah Hotel, a Moroccan luxury boutique hotel due to celebrate its grand opening in September. The hotel is also home to a UNESCO World Heritage arts and cultural centre.

The National Osteoporosis Society has hired Forster Communications following a five-way pitch.

Greenberg Quinlan Rosner’s London office has been engaged by South Africa opposition party Democratic Alliance to provide campaign consultancy ahead of next year’s general election.

M&N Place has been called in by Areen Design to promote the King Abdulaziz airport in Saudi Arabia and the Sheraton Dushanbe hotel in Tajikistan.
