Albion picked up the work, worth £100,000, after a three-way pitch against Forster Communications and Matter & Co.

The agency will look to boost awareness of the trust, which supports social change through digital technology.

It will also promote the launch of a £1m innovation fund called ‘Social Tech, Social Change’, which aims to help emerging start-ups address social issues.

The fund launches today at the Founders Forum, a gathering of entrepreneurs and leaders in the tech industry. The Founders Forum for Good board, which includes founder Martha Lane Fox and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, is a partner of the fund.

The Nominet Trust has funded businesses such as Apps for Good, Tyze and Code Club.

Albion Drive founder and director Bryce Keane said: ‘Nominet Trust is working hard to provide entrepreneurs with the additional resource they need to grow and tackle social change.

'At Albion Drive, we are particularly passionate about clients that support the start-up ecosystem and I can’t think of a better brief for us than challenging mainstream tech entrepreneurs to try their hand at social enterprise and using technology to address some of the UK’s biggest problems.’

Nominet Trust head of marketing and comms Rachael Gant commented: ‘We were really impressed by Albion Drive’s ability to quickly grasp and understand our challenge and how we should operate within the tech market.

'Not only did the team demonstrate a solid understanding, but they also showed enthusiasm and passion for what we are doing, delivering a well thought out plan of activity, making them our agency of choice.’

Nominet’s corporate and consumer PR is handled by Brands2Life.
