Performance will grow product awareness in the launch territories of Spain, Russia, Romania, Poland, Norway and Turkey, targeting b2b motoring press to reach those working in the motorsport industries, as well as retailers.
The agency will also handle UK PR duties and drive activation of Comma’s motorsport partnership with the Carlin Motorsport GP2 team and MSV Group, which runs the BRDC Formula 4 Championship and race circuits at Brands Hatch and Cadwell Park.
Performance PR co-founding director Andy Francis said the agency will be responsible for the 'strategies across multiple territories whilst tailoring localised solutions for individual markets'.
Comma marketing manager Mark Whitmill said: 'Performance provides us with the platform to support our growth across Europe and, eventually, into Asia Pacific.'
Comma Oil, which was owned by ExxonMobil until March 2012, previously employed Performance PR for UK comms work, but has had no external comms assistance since 2009. Performance PR won the brief following a pitch.
