Online PR database Response Source has got more than it bargained
for since its launch last October to offer journalists free expert
The site, which intended to create a mutually beneficial relationship -
whereby journalists receive information and PROs achieve coverage for
clients - has, perhaps predictably, sparked some battles.
Comments from site users so far include criticisms of both parties. 'We
are getting a lot of enquiries that can only be described as ditzy,
asking the daftest of questions,' said one PRO.
Fighting back, one journalist said: 'One response had material I wanted
to know more about, but it took them two days to get back to me.'
Response founder Daryl Willcox said the site has since been tweaked to
make sure inappropriate requests are intercepted.
A row between PROs and journalists? Some things will never change.
