Whispers are afoot that the global agencies are buying again, this
time almost indiscriminately.

has an excellent blue-chip client base and provides a wide range of
PR-related services, including public affairs. They would like to meet
owners of companies with similar services who are willing to consider
offers for their business. Appropriate finance is in place.'
Well, it could be anybody from Edelman to Burson-Marsteller. But they
could have a wait on their hands. Herring was overheard at an industry
do earlier this month emphatically declaring that he had no intention of
selling for 'a few years'.
