Lottery handout body the New Opportunities Fund has hired agency
support for a PR push of forthcoming environmental projects.
Grant Butler Coomber has been appointed to aid the body's regional
communications set-up of nine offices, for the next three years.
This will include local PR campaigns for the £150m Transforming
Communities initiative, which supports environmental projects including
those involving recycling and renewable energy.
The GBC team is led by head of consumer Sara Tye who reports to Linda
Quinn, NOF head of communications.
Other regional PR projects include promoting funding for drugs
rehabilitation schemes in Scotland.
GBC also announced this week that it had been appointed to handle PR for
Carers UK's annual Carers Week, which takes place from 10 to 16 June.
