Twiglets opts for Shine to handle consumer remit

Snack-food Twiglets has appointed consumer agency Shine

Communications following a three-way pitch.



The brand's parent Jacobs has long used Manning Selvage & Lee for its

snack portfolio and for a corporate PR function.



But the company has now split its PR supplier base into a brand agency -

Shine - and Fuel for the remaining parts of the account.



The move follows the appointment of a new marketing team for the brand

last year, led by marketing manager Hamish Reid and Twiglets brand

manager Esther Leong.



Reid said the appointment had been made following a decision that PR was

to be an integral part of future campaigns for the brand.



'We are reviewing the marketing strategy for the brand and have decided

they will be an integral part of the marketing across the whole range

original, tangy and curry twiglets,' she said.



The Shine account will be run by account director Erica Hendrick.
