Amer Sports hires Sports Impact for corporate PR task

The parent company of sports equipment giant Wilson has handed a

corporate PR brief to Sports Impact.



Helsinki-based Amer Sports uses sports and sponsorship specialist PR

agency Sports Impact to promote its Wilson, Atomic and Sunnto

brands.



It has handed the firm a corporate brief aimed at capitalising on its

sponsorship of events such as the Volvo Ocean Race and stars such as

tennis's Williams sisters.



Agency MD John Collard said: 'They want us to help them achieve their

objective of being recognised as the leading sports hardwear company

within four years.'



'The first challenge will be to maximise the value of the sponsorship of

two boats in the Volvo Ocean Race, which will finish in June,' he added.
