DIARY: Fleishman-Hillard fails to spell out expertise

Top-five global PR network Fleishman-Hillard placed a full-page

Christmas ad in December that featured a wacky 70s hipster with the

enticing payoff: 'There are other ways to get yourself noticed'.

What the agency didn't notice was that the ad was riddled with spelling

blunders. The picture was on a faded background listing F-H's areas of

expertise - including 'childeren' (sic) and 'interent' (violently

sic).

Not the best way for F-H to end an otherwise good year.
