MEDIA: PR opportunities as The Business revamps content

The Business, the revamped, slimmed-down version of Sunday

Business, claimed this week it would offer more opportunities to PROs as

it refocuses two major sections.

The management pages, called Executive Briefing, and the personal

finance pages are to be more focused on content, covering high net-worth


Both sections are overseen by investment editor Matthew Guarente.

The paper, relaunched by publisher Andrew Neil this week from the

remains of the troubled Sunday Business, will contain more comment and

analysis, according to executive editor Richard Northedge: 'PR people

may see us (therefore) as being more influential. We recognise they are

the gatekeepers to information.'

Lifestyle coverage in the paper has, however, been axed. 'We are a

business paper and we have come back to our core,' Northedge stressed.

Saturday news deadlines have been extended to 10pm and the paper will be

available on Monday as well as Sunday in a bid to cash in on the office
