Tech firm Autonomy has appointed Mantra PR to handle its UK public
relations.
Mantra replaces incumbent agency The Red Consultancy on the six-figure
fee account.
The agency's one-year brief is to raise awareness and understanding of
Autonomy in the corporate and IT trade press. It includes work for
Dremedia, a specialist division of Autonomy responsible for digital TV
software.
The agency's co-founder and joint MD Debbie Wosskow will head the
account, reporting to Ian Black, Autonomy head of corporate
communications.
Founded in 1996 by the UK's first 'e-billionaire', Mike Lynch, Autonomy
is one of the few ongoing success stories of the internet boom.
The company makes what it calls 'information infrastructure' technology,
which powers e-commerce and online publishing applications.
