BUENOS AIRES: CNN parent group Turner Broadcasting System has hired
Felipe de Stefani as director of communications and new business
development for Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay.
De Stefani will be based in Buenos Aires and will oversee all PR and
marketing surrounding TBS Latin America's entertainment and news
channels, alongside the Turner Internet sites covering the region, known
as the Southern Cone.
In Latin America, TBS broadcasts channels including TNT Latin America
and CNN in Spanish.
The group's Latin American online offerings include websites in Spanish
and Portugese, such as CNNenEspanol.com.
De Stefani joined Turner after working for regional business and
technology PR consultancy Certant, which is part of Hicks Muse Tate &
Furst.
He reports to TBS vice-president of distribution and marketing Whit
Richardson and TBS Latin America V-P of advertising sales and marketing
Gretchen Colon.
