KGA's Patricia Hamzahee to head Fleishman-Hillard's financial services

The former partner and co-head of Kreab Gavin Anderson's financial services practice, Patricia Hamzahee, is to join Fleishman-Hillard's London office at the beginning of March.

In the newly-created role of head of financial services, Hamzahee will cover public affairs, corporate comms, reputation management and investor relations, working closely with the agency’s Brussels team led by Donald Ricketts.

She will also join the agency's management team and work closely with London staff including associate director of its public affairs and corporate team, James Dowling and public affairs consultant Sarah Jenkins, who recently joined from the Treasury.

The appointment brings together its financial services offering under one head for the first time as the agency plans to expand its offering in the sector.

Fleishman-Hillard managing director Richard Kanereck said: ‘Patricia is a talented and impressive individual, with a strong in-house and agency track record in the financial services sector.

'The depth of her sector knowledge and breadth of expertise, combined with her creativity, strategic insight and approach to doing business, will add considerable value for our clients in what is a rapidly growing sector within Fleishman-Hillard.’

At KGA, Hamzahee was a senior specialist for responsible investment and corporate governance with clients such as the Treasury’s Asset Protection Agency (APA). She is understood to have exited the agency amid a number of senior departures, reported by PRWeek last week.

Prior to KGA, Hamzahee served as executive director and chief administrative officer (CAO) for the Debt Capital Markets business of Lehman Brothers in Europe and led comms and marketing for NatWest.
