National Aids Trust has taken on external PR support to help
promote Bill Clinton's first major event in the UK as a spokesman for
Aids awareness.
The former US president is the guest speaker at this year's Princess
Diana Memorial lecture, which will take place at an as-yet-unconfirmed
London venue on 13 December.
Edelman's health division will support National Aids Trust's promotion
of the event and handle media relations with a focus on the health and
consumer press.
As part of Edelman's brief it has also been working on the lead up to
World Aids Day, which takes place on Saturday.
Popstars rejects band Liberty have been recruited to promote the
event.
Clinton was appointed earlier this year as chairman of the International
Aids Trust's advisory board. The global body is independent of the NAT.
