Brodeur Worldwide has won the European PR business for software
firm Concord Communications - an account worth more than £1m in
fees.
Concord handed Brodeur the brief after a two-way pitch held against US
tech firm Ruder Finn, which already works for the group across
Asia-Pacific.
Brodeur takes over from incumbents Text 100 and August. One
Communications. Text EMEA business director Andy West said they were
asked to resign due to a conflict of interest with client IBM.
Nasdaq-listed Concord has briefed Brodeur with running communications
programmes across Europe, focusing on integrated marketing and media and
analyst relations.
The Brodeur team is led by associate director Ellen Ferrara, who jointly
heads the media relations remit with Netherlands-based Agnita Bok, and
business group director Duncan Chapple, in charge of Concord's
technology analyst relations.
Brodeur will work along-side wholly-owned subsidiary Beaupre & Partners,
which is Concord's existing East Coast US PR agency.
Part of Brodeur's immediate brief will be to manage a pan-European tour
for Concord's US-based CEO and develop EU-focussed communications
strategies for the group's suite of eHealth products.
The agency reports to Concord worldwide PR director Josef Blumenfeld.
