SINGAPORE: Ogilvy PR Worldwide has appointed Michael Rose as acting
MD of its Singapore bureau.
Technology practice regional director Rose replaces Ong Hock Chuan, who
is leaving to take up the newly created post of senior counsel, crisis
management and human capital (ASEAN).
Chuan will focus on winning and developing multi-market relationships
for Branshield, Ogilvy's recently created division for overseeing crisis
preparedness, handling and recovery.
'In addition to brand protection, I will focus on building skills among
client executives through such activities as scenario role-playing and
developing specific sessions for at-risk industries, such as food,
chemical and financial services,' said Chuan.
Rose has led Ogilvy's relationship with Nokia and several other regional
technology clients from the agency's Singapore HQ since last November
(PRWeek, 17 November 2000).
