BT Wholesale - BT Group's B2B arm - is launching an educational PR
offensive to raise the profile of its sales and marketing division.
Technology PR agency Band & Brown has been hired by BT Wholesale Markets
to replace incumbent Ketchum after a four-way pitch.
B&B's brief, which industry sources say is worth between £150,000
and £200,000 per year in fees, centres around B2B media relations
to build awareness and understanding of BT Wholesale.
B&B director David Vindel leads a team of four on the account, reporting
to BT Wholesale head of marketing communications Claire Hilton.
'It's a business that's been through a lot of transformation and, as a
result, no-one knows what they do,' said Vindel.
BT Wholesale provides network services to service providers, other BT
businesses and network operators, such as ntl and Telewest.
