Veteran gay rights activist Peter Tatchell is to launch a fresh
campaign strategy next year.
Tatchell is keen to veer away from concentrating on his high-profile gay
rights campaigns and broaden his work to include all global human rights
The decision comes as a charity, to be called the Peter Tatchell Human
Rights Fund, launches in January to raise cash for human rights
PR consultant Adrian Gillan, hired this week to handle media relations
for the charity, said: 'Peter is keen to reposition himself. He wants to
look at the bigger picture in terms of human rights.'
Although set up in his name, Tatchell is independent of the charity.
