Food and drinks specialist Nexus Communications has appointed Anna
Hooper in the newly created role of MD for its consumer and business
Hooper brings experience in food, fashion, lifestyle PR and marketing to
the job, working across a variety of brands.
She joined from consumer specialist Kable PR, where she served as MD for
the past 12 months.
Her remit is to develop business opportunities in industry sectors
outside food, reporting to Nexus group CEO Jim Horsley, who had been
acting MD of the division until Hooper's arrival.
'Food and drink consultancy will continue to be our strength and there
is still potential in that,' said Hooper. 'But we are running a business
and recognise there are also opportunities in other sectors.
'This is a very exciting opportunity to extend our experience to other
industry sectors. We aim to show how we can add value with our approach
to the business,' she added.
Nexus Communications is made up of three PR operating divisions -
healthcare, technology and Hooper's consumer and business unit.
Hooper's is the group's largest, employing 45 of the company's 75
Its client base includes Tropicana, Muller, Burger King and the British
Egg Industry Council.
