PUBLIC SECT0R BRIEFS: Academy of Music and Dramatic Art appoints chairman

LAMDA: The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art has appointed

Wilf Weeks, the founder of consultancy GJW (now part of Weber Shandwick

Worldwide), as chairman of its development board. A former chief of

staff to Edward Heath, Weeks will drive a PR campaign that aims to raise

£5m to refurbish the academy's central London base.
