The Communication Group has named Michael Holmes as head of its
financial PR division.
He takes the role of divisional CEO, which has been created in a bid to
strengthen the division's work.
Holmes, a former managing director of Good Relations' financial services
arm, joins after running his own agency, Michael Holmes Marketing
Communications.
He takes over as division head from financial managing director Sam
Vallings, who retains that title but now reports to Holmes.
Vallings was appointed MD last year, replacing Henry Faure-Walker, who
left to study for an MBA in France.
Peter Hamilton, TCG group managing director, said: 'It's fair to say
that with this appointment we are giving particular attention to our
financial work. We hope he (Holmes) will strengthen our work in the
area.
'Sam is an expert on the financial calendar while Michael brings
experience of the financial services and marketing sectors,' he
added.
Holmes heads a ten-strong division and is the only division chief to
have the title of CEO, but Hamilton said there are currently no plans to
create a CEO level in the other divisions.
High-profile clients of the division include property group Minerva, AXA
Insurance, Wembley and the Quoted Companies Alliance.
