Liverpool Victoria boosts in-house PR with Snell hire

Liverpool Victoria, the UK's largest friendly society, has boosted

its in-house PR team.

Nigel Snell will fill the newly created role of head of external

affairs. He reports to Simon Rhodes, executive director, marketing and

PR was formerly handled in-house by PRO Kate Coney, who now reports to

Snell. Also reporting to Snell are LV's three retained agencies, Lansons

Communications (which handles consumer PR), Brunswick (corporate), and

Quill Communications (B2B).

Coney said LV planned to further boost its in-house PR but it could not

say how this may affect its retained agencies.

Snell joins from AXA Sun Life, where he was head of business partners, a

non-PR role.

Bournemouth-based LV has one million members. Friendly societies are

mutual organisations that offer financial and insurance services.
