Liverpool Victoria, the UK's largest friendly society, has boosted
its in-house PR team.
Nigel Snell will fill the newly created role of head of external
affairs. He reports to Simon Rhodes, executive director, marketing and
PR was formerly handled in-house by PRO Kate Coney, who now reports to
Snell. Also reporting to Snell are LV's three retained agencies, Lansons
Communications (which handles consumer PR), Brunswick (corporate), and
Quill Communications (B2B).
Coney said LV planned to further boost its in-house PR but it could not
say how this may affect its retained agencies.
Snell joins from AXA Sun Life, where he was head of business partners, a
Bournemouth-based LV has one million members. Friendly societies are
mutual organisations that offer financial and insurance services.
