Those struggling with making difficult announcements should look away now. Figuring the reputation of banking and finance has not taken enough of a beating, Citigroup announced 11,000 global redundancies - or 'site rationalisations' - with a press release drawn from the deepest depths of corporate talk. Flack is sure those left without a regular pay cheque had a warm and fuzzy feeling inside knowing their job cuts were part of a 'repositioning action' to 'improve efficiency' ...

On a cheerier note, it is nice to see Kindred is getting into the festive spirit. Instead of sending out Christmas cards, the team is spreading yuletide cheer by doling out free soup and crusty bread to all at Covent Garden, with any donations going to MIND. Apparently even other agencies who turn up at the van on Monday will be welcome. Love and harmony spreading across the world of PR? It must be the mulled wine and impending holidays ...
