Sunday People features writer Charlotte Seligman has quit to join
women's weekly Best as features editor.
No date has been given for Seligman's move - the latest in a line of
shifts between the publications - to replace Sue Cocker at the
432,200-selling National Magazine Company title.
Seligman will report to assistant editor Helen Garston, who oversees
features. Editor Louise Court said: 'We are hoping Charlotte will
continue the sense of urgency and topicality of our features pages.'
The magazine, which is aimed at 25 to 45-year-old women, has been
revamped with a new consumer page, edited by Karen Turmer. It includes
money news and 'best buys' such as supermarket bargains.
Advice on parenting, which used to be included with consumer news, is
now a separate column edited by Julia Goodwin, Prima Baby editor. The
showbusiness quotient has also been upped in response to reader demand,
Court said.
