PARIS: French post office La Poste has created a dedicated public
affairs department and promoted Jean-Paul Forceville to lead the
division.
Forceville takes on the role of external relations manager for La Poste,
overseeing all communications surrounding public affairs and regulatory
policies affecting the French postal service.
The division will handle issues such as national and European
regulations, postal policies relating to the environment and sustainable
development, La Poste policy in relation to land development and La
Poste's relations with institutional partners.
Forceville will also retain his former responsibilities as chief of
staff for La Poste chairman Martin Vial.
The external relations division will run alongside the communications
department, run by director Patrick Widloecher, who is assisted by media
relations head Philippe Moucherat.
