NEW YORK STATE: MasterCard International has asked a select group
of PR firms to present credentials in a bid to find the right fit for
three of its five US divisions.
The PR accounts up for grabs are North America, global debit, and
The global e-business and corporate payment solutions divisions are not
part of the review.
Omnicom-owned Brodeur Worldwide currently handles all five areas of the
MasterCard International V-P of global communications Sharon Gamsin said
the review was a just way of seeing what other agencies had to offer and
may not affect the relationship with Brodeur.
Gamsin said the search was strictly limited to selected agencies: 'We
have selected a targeted group of people.'
Gamsin said agencies were being asked to provide proof of capability for
general business communications support.
