It now represents 40 Unilever brands across three continents, including winning Dove in the UK. Its work for Cisco has tripled and expanded globally. GH also expanded its global work with Dow Chemical Company, adding the building and construction unit to its portfolio. New wins include Discover Financial Services and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
The agency made more acquisitions in 2012 than it has during the past decade. These include Brazil's fifth largest PR agency S2Publicom, Nicole Weber Communications in Germany, digital agency Fuse, which has offices in London and San Francisco, and Virgo Health in London.
GH's 'Bridge', a global network of real-time marketing engagement centres, was named PR innovation of the year in the PRWeek US Awards. It has created a new revenue stream for GH with clients including Toyota, Dow Chemical Company and McDonald's.
The agency raided the TV world to hire three Bridge chiefs globally: former GMTV editor Martin Frizell in London, Fox News producer Jay Foot in Chicago, and Stephanie Matthews, who previously worked for ABC and NBC, in Dallas. All this activity resulted in the agency being crowned International Agency of the Year at this year's PRWeek UK Awards.
