Health and fitness club operator Fitness First is launching a PR
drive surrounding its £20m expansion programme, taking on NP PR
for comms work across the UK.
The quoted company - which owns 100 gyms in the UK - has hired NP,
formerly known as Northern Profile, for a national and regional media
relations campaign. With fees believed to be more than £100,000 a
year, NP won the consumer and B2B brief following a three-way pitch.
The agency will work alongside Gavin Anderson, which handles Fitness
First's financial PR work.
NP managing director Nick Brown leads the account, which will be run
from NPPR's offices in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and London.
Fitness First has more than 200 gyms in continental Europe, Australia
and Asia and plans to open another 20 in the UK within six months.
