Osborne PR picks Williams as MD as it plans for growth

Manchester-based Osborne PR has appointed Louisa Williams as MD in

an effort to double the size of the business.

Williams, who joins after a spell as a freelance, was most recently head

of PR for online gaming company Gameplay. She takes over from Stephen

Moncrieff who is taking on a business development role within parent

company Equanim.

Moncrieff said: 'The market in Manchester has become a little stale so

we believe we can pick up business here, as well as from companies that

have been using London agencies but want to make more effective use of

their budgets.'

He added that he thought there were opportunities in consumer PR. The

agency, with annual fees of £500,000, also works in corporate and

hi-tech PR.

Williams was previously an account director at Edelman PR Worldwide. She

will report to Jeremy Middleton, Equanim group CEO.
