Irish pub chain O'Neills has handed its six-figure consumer PR
account to Birmingham-based Haslimann Taylor after a three-way
pitch.
A review of the account was sparked by the appointment of Simon Cope as
marketing manager. Cope will oversee the agency's account.
The brief, which covers the chain's 90 UK outlets, will see the agency
push the brand's message that the pubs are 'open to an eclectic range of
people'.
The agency's plans centre on undertaking a different campaign each month
to promote the chain. The account runs for an initial one-year period
and is led by account director Andrew Rastell.
Haslimann Taylor already works with Six Continents - O'Neills parent
firm - promoting brands such as Harvester, Edwards, and the Toby
Carveries chain.
Last month O'Neills opened its largest ever pub on London's Wardour
Street on the site of cult nightclub The Wag, which was bought earlier
this year.
