The council is in the later stages of a pitch process after launching a pitch for a retained brief worth nearly £220,000.

The brief – currently held by Mary Murphy RPS Associates – is set to last for three years, and cover corporate and stakeholder relations, among other elements.

There will also be the possibility of close work with Dublin Docklands Authority, according to a document seen by PRWeek.

A spokesman for the council explained that the brief would expand on the previous ret-ainer covering events work.It would also be likely to involve comms work around a range of projects alongside the docklands, including the development of a new incinerator.

‘We have a lot of strategic alliances with business, culture and the arts, and we’re looking to position our brand in accordance with this,’ he said.

‘There are a number of infrastructure projects in the region and we want to get key exposure where we need it, and to ensure that by beefing up our brand there is less focus on the negatives and more focus on the positives.’
