Dunhill has appointed retail communications agency Yellow Door as
the brand seeks to capitalise on the success of its West End store.
Yellow Door has been asked to run day-to-day consumer PR, an account
previously held by fashion PR agency Purple.
The firm will handle PR around next year's spring and summer menswear
and accessories collections and the launch of a Dunhill-branded presence
in department store Selfridges later this year.
Account manager Katy Ashby said: 'We want to make Dunhill the
destination store for men, and keep the brand in the news by building a
regular communication with the press.'
The agency will also work on Dunhill's annual golf championship at St
Andrews, and promote the store's deal with designer Michael Tapia.
The account will be run by creative director Mary Portas, reporting to
Dunhill comms director Peter Cross.
