Software firm Strategix has handed Brodeur Worldwide its entire PR
and communications account worth 'substantial' six-figure fees.
Strategix - which develops e-business software for electronic retailers,
resellers and distributors - hired Brodeur after a final two-way pitch
believed to have been against Weber Shandwick Worldwide.
Brodeur will work on a remit encompassing media training, on and offline
media relations, analyst relations and direct marketing. The consultancy
will also run Strategix's speaker placement programme.
Brodeur's team reports to Strategix marketing director Andrew Yuille,
who said the agency would help with more than media relations: 'Getting
coverage is one thing, but there's also running initiatives that are
specifically relevant to the business,' he said.
Strategix works for clients including Virgin Mobile, Bailey Telecom and
Dimension Data.
