One2One has recruited Neil Lovell as director of corporate
communications as the mobile phone operator embarks on a global
re-branding as T-Mobile.
Lovell takes over from Anna Cloke, who left One2One in March to join
rival Vodafone (PRWeek, 17 August).
He will oversee a 20-strong corporate comms department as the operator
re-brands globally in preparation for the move to 3G mobile
services.
Lovell joins from recruitment agency Barkers Advertising where he was a
regional director. Previously he ran his own property development
business.
At One2One he oversees all aspects of communications including corporate
PR, marketing PR, employee communications, community liaison and
knowledge management.
One2One will migrate to the international T-Mobile brand under owners
Deutsche Telekom by the end of next year. Facilitating this move, both
externally and internally will be a major communications task, Lovell
said.
One2One human resources director Jim Morrison said: 'We wanted someone
to build relationships internally and externally. One challenge is to
have our employees understand what we are doing, why, and their part in
that achievement.'
