The Scottish Government has launched an integrated campaign encouraging people to help combat the environmental and financial impact of food waste. On 15 August, revealed that Stripe Communications, which is understood to be involved with the work, had won a six-figure brief under the 'Greener Scotland' umbrella.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council has appointed Suzanne Halliwell as interim strategic comms manager. She takes on the role having worked as head of comms at Blackpool and Wigan councils. She said: 'We will be looking to consolidate and rationalise comms spending to ensure better value for money.'

Westminster City Council has beefed up its comms team with three appointments. James Henderson is joining as a senior media officer, having filled various interim comms roles at local authorities, while Stephanie Darrall joins as a media officer after a journalism career at the Mail Online and London Evening Standard. Former Burton Mail journalist John Crossley has joined as an assistant media officer.
