MEDIA: GQ adds sections from February as pagination upped

Men's lifestyle glossy GQ is to increase pagination with the

addition of two new sections next February.

The Conde Nast title is strengthening its features desk prior to the

changes with the appointment of a deputy to existing features editor

Alex Bilmes.

Editor Dylan Jones refused to elaborate on the subject matter of the new

sections, but promised they would be different from what readers have

seen in the magazine before. 'We are late in development,' he added.

Jones said he was looking for someone who has 'more experience' than the

job title might suggest.

Steve Hobbs, who was assistant features editor, left the magazine four

months ago.

'We are looking to replace that person but make the job greater in

We are always looking to strengthen the team, moving up through the

gears,' said Jones.

The new role will slot in between Bilmes and features assistant Niki

Browes. All three will report to Jones.
