Tim Green has been appointed producer - programmes development at
Emap Performance TV.
Reporting to director of programming Dave Young, Green will be
responsible for channel development across the group's music channels,
which include The Box, Kiss, Q, Kerrang! and Smash Hits.
This will involve producing short features interspersed with the music
videos which make up much of the channels' content. He will also work on
ad promotions and other commercial tie-ups.
Green has previously worked on Channel 4's Big Breakfast and Friends
Like These on BBC1.
His most recent role was on the Sara Cox show, Make My Day, due to be
broadcast next month on C4.
Emap has advanced long-term plans to make Heat, its celebrity and
entertainment weekly, into a TV show (PRWeek, 11 May).
It is thought that shooting on a 30-minute pilot programme will start
this month. Heat magazine was launched last year.
